Pharmaceutical advice is reserved for certified pharmacists (or supervised pharmacy assistants) under the Therapeutic Products Act. fonea handles only routine enquiries (stock, hours, appointments) and escalates every pharmaceutical question to your team immediately.
Is fonea FADP-compliant for health data?
Yes. Persistent data (contacts, transcripts) is hosted in Switzerland. The revised FADP (effective 1 September 2023) including Art. 5 (specially protected data) and the GDPR are fully respected. We provide extended DPA clauses for pharmacies on request.
How does fonea distinguish a pharmaceutical emergency from a routine question?
Through configurable keywords (e.g. "allergy", "shortness of breath", "poisoning", "pregnancy" + medication). On match, fonea hands the call to your pharmacy assistant immediately — no queue, no AI judgement. If nobody is reachable, fonea points to 145 (Tox Info Suisse) or 144.
Does fonea work with Triamun, ProPharma, or ofac.coop?
fonea connects via calendar and stock interfaces to common pharmacy systems. Triamun, ProPharma, and ofac.coop support iCal/API. We confirm the specific connector in the kick-off — if a direct integration is missing, appointment booking runs reliably via Google Calendar or Microsoft 365.
Does fonea understand Swiss German and older customers?
Yes. fonea understands Swiss German across all dialects and replies in Swiss Standard German. Spot-tested, the assistant shows high acceptance even with older customers — natural conversation flow is what matters. Anyone preferring counter contact is transferred at any time.
What happens during weekend on-call duty?
